How to play Snake 3D

The snake game everyone knows, in a living 3D world. Free, with no sign-up and no ads. It runs on your own phone or computer, and your scores stay there.

Is Snake 3D free?

Yes. Snake 3D is free to play, with no sign-up, no ads and nothing to install. It runs in your web browser.

How do I play Snake 3D on my phone?

Swipe in the direction you want the snake to go, or tap the screen on the side you want it to turn to. The arrow buttons at the bottom right work too.

How do I play on a computer?

Use the arrow keys or W, A, S and D. You can also click on the side you want the snake to turn to, or drag the mouse. Space pauses, C changes the camera and M turns the sound off.

What are the rules?

The snake moves on its own. Eat eggs to grow and score points, and eat quickly for a combo. Just before a crash the snake stops for a moment, so you can still turn away. The round ends if it then hits the wall, a rock or its own body. Golden eggs and mice are worth more, and a scorpion sting makes the snake shorter.

What do the power-ups do?

Camouflage (green) lets the snake pass through its own body for a short time. Heat sense (orange) makes all prey glow, even behind rocks. Calm (blue) slows the game down.

What are the burrows?

A burrow is a hole in the ground. Go into one and the snake comes out of the other hole with the same colour rim.

What is the Daily Arena?

A new arena every day, with rocks and burrows in new places. Everyone who plays on the same date gets the same arena, so you can compare scores with friends.

How do I unlock the other snakes?

Play to unlock them: the Indian cobra after eating 40 eggs in total, the green python after clearing Quest level 5, and the coral snake after scoring 600 in the Arena.

Are my scores saved?

Your best scores, Quest levels and unlocked snakes are saved only in this browser on your device. Nothing is sent to us. Clearing your browser data resets them.
